Meet the Queens Mab May 5, 2008

“O, then, I see Queen Mab hath been with you.”

– Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet

A lover of Shakespeare and the mother of Margaret and Beatrice, the name Queens Mab (as in Margaret and Beatrice) came to me in a vision in the late hours of the night (the only time of day that still belongs to a mother of two under three). Just like Shakespeare’s legendary Fairy Queen, Margaret and Beatrice enticed me to dream of what I want for myself and for the world, and to pursue it in my waking hours.

To my little Queens…

…plus, I don’t think you’ve really shopped until you’ve had a four year old seriously try to help you pick out clothes. “Oh, don’t you think he would like this tutu?”  She means well.
